Roving Exhibition on Gender Mainstreaming
In 2002 and on the advice of the Women’s Commission, the Government started to introduce gender mainstreaming into various policy areas on an incremental basis. The key objective is to integrate gender perspectives in legislation, policies and programmes in order to ensure that both genders have equitable access to and benefit from, society’s resources and opportunities. In order to promote the concept of gender mainstreaming to the general public, the Commission is organising a roving exhibition on gender mainstreaming from June 2013 to introduce the importance of applying the concept and also to share some good practices of gender mainstreaming application in the Government.
