Local and Overseas Liaison

The Women's Commission recognizes and appreciates the important contribution that the non-governmental sector and community groups have made in advancing the interests of women in Hong Kong throughout the years. In seeking advice on the work of the Commission from the non-governmental sector and creating a greater synergy on the work of the Women's Commission, the Commission has carried out various activities to establish partnership with the non-governmental organizations sector. The Commission has conducted regular visits to local women organizations, service agencies and districts, as well as forums and seminars which invited the participation of various non-governmental organizations. Through these contacts, the Commission is able to learn a lot about the various organizations and sectors' work, listen to their concerns, and discuss how the Commission might assist in their work or collaborate with them.
