Workshop on How Women Groups Lead the Development of Social Capital and Community Building

The Women's Commission and the Community Investment and Inclusion Fund Committee jointly organised the "Workshop on How Women Groups Lead the Development of Social Capital and Community Building" on 30 June 2005 to help women's groups develop their community-based projects to build up an inclusive and harmonious society and further empower local women's groups.  The workshop particularly sought to promote the exchange of experience between women's groups in empowering women, community building and development of social capital.  Participants were also able to explore the role that women's groups play in societal development, and learn practical skills in designing project proposals that can further develop women's potential as builders of social capital and agents of change.
