The Government today (December 28) announced the appointment of a new member and re-appointment of three incumbent members to the Women's Commission. All the appointments will take effect from January 15, 2008.
The three incumbent members re-appointed are Ms Ruth Gee, Ms Joanna Lau Lai-hing, and Dr Yeung Ka-ching. Ms Lau and Dr Yeung have served on the Commission since January 2005, while Ms Gee has served since 2006. They have made enormous contribution to the work of the Commission during their tenure.
